Cynthia L. Krom, CPA
Professor of Business

Biography

Prior to joining the full-time faculty at Mount Saint Mary College in 1989, Professor Krom served as an adjunct instructor of accounting and business law at Fairleigh Dickinson University and Mt. St. Mary.

Professor Krom has extensive auditing and accounting experience with Arthur Young & Co. (now Ernst and Young), and with local accounting firms. Prior to her second career in accounting, she worked as an occupational safety and health risk manager with Commercial Union Insurance Companies.

Ms. Krom has a BS in Environmental Science from Franklin and Marshall College, an MBA in Accountancy from Fairleigh Dickinson, and is in the dissertation stage of her Ph.D. in Organizational Studies from SUNY Albany.

Her research interests include moonlighting, workaholism, epistemological beliefs, organizational citizenship behaviors, and corporate social responsibility.

Professor Krom is married, has a 17-year-old daughter, and lives in New York where she dreams of moving to Spain. She and her husband own Cromwell Manor Inn, a bed and breakfast in Cornwall, NY. She enjoys reading, running, cooking, and crafts in her spare time.
