Philosophy from her point of View...
Christine developed a elaborate
theory on Color Vision that she dedicated almost three centuries of her
life to. These theories which have been collectively presented in her book,
Colour and Colour Theories , have yet to be proved or disproved in
the one hundred years that they have existed. She did some of her studies
abroad, in Germany, with several well-known male scientists, and as a result
of her successes and the respect she earned, as well as other things, universities
in Germany opened their doors to women. Her model on Binocular vision was
the entry that she needed to be accepted into the world of psychologists.
From the on her theories developed and prospered until she had and evolutionary
based model on her theory of color vision that she could present to the
International Congress of Psychology in London. 5
