CSC 115 Tentative Schedule

 

Course Description:

This course teaches the student how to use spreadsheet and data base software packages.

Microsoft Access 2003, Complete Concepts and Techniques, Shelly, Cashman, Pratt, Course Technology

Access to WebCT:

WebCT can be accessed on campus by clicking on Distance Learning from the MSMC bulletin page or from off campus by entering http://course.msmc.edu.  WebCT will be used for online quizzes.

 

 

Student Outcomes:

At the conclusion of this course, the student will be familiar with the Excel 2003 spreadsheet  & Access 2003 database software application

Procedures to Attain Student Outcomes:

Classroom lectures and demonstrations will be the main media.  The student will be assigned numerous exercises and projects.  There will be online quizzes and 2 tests.

 

 

Grading:

Your grade will be determined by the ratio of the total number of points that you earn divided by the total points possible.

Attendance:  Attendance throughout the entire scheduled class is required.  During the online class time, email and/or chat time will be scheduled.  Quizzes will be given in WebCT only during the availability indicated.  The lowest quiz grade will be dropped. 

Homework:  Assignments will be collected or sent to me via email.  Late assignments will receive only partial credit.  Independent work is expected; all individuals involved in copied work receive zero for the assignment.  Independent work is expected; all individuals involved in copied work will receive zero for the assignment.
