Biological Principles

Biological Principles is an introductory level, two semester, course designed for all prospective science majors. The first semester Bio 113 is taught in the Fall and covers such topics such as cell structure and function, respiration, photosynthesis, cell division and genetics. Bio 114 taught in the Spring covers animal reproduction, evolution, ecology, biological diversity and aspects of animal physiology. These courses are currently being taught utilizing collaborative learning, problem solving and inquiry-based laboratories.
